Not Too Late for Roth IRA

Did you know that you can contribute toward a Roth IRA for the year 2007 all the way up to April 15, 2008? It is pretty nice for all us procrastinators! :) It means you can still decide to do it for last year! It’s not too late. In the last post I talked about three important Roth IRA facts. I don’t know if they were the three most important or not. There are a few other points about the Roth you need to think about. I also want to explain some of them in detail, at least the way I understand it, concerning Roth rules. You should always go to the IRS website and learn the Roth rules from them. The rules often change and I cannot give you professional tax or legal advice, so be sure to check it out for yourself.

Three Important Roth IRA Facts

It’s time to start thinking about investing in your Roth IRA.  Do you have one?  Are you over 18 and breathing?  Do you expect to live a while longer? Do you have anyone in this life that you care about?

You need a Roth IRA.  Why ?  Because it is the best wealth building, get rich slow, government sanctioned, tax conscience investment you could have.  Too bad there is a limit on how much you can put in each year.  But many people don’t even invest in a Roth at all.  We have to fix that.

The 3 most important facts about a Roth IRA are as follows:

Where to Find Cheap Gas

From time to time, I want to stray from some of the weightier advice and guides to let you in on what I think is a good website that can save you some money.  I know some people will drive from gas station to gas station trying to find the cheapest gas, and admittedly, I have done it too.  There is a way to make this shopping easier.  This website , called Gas Prices, does the trick and it is usually updated frequently.  All you have to do is enter your zip code and it will show you a map and flag the various prices for gas at each location.  This can save you time (and gas) if you are trying to find the cheapest gas in your area.  It’s also fun to just look at all the different prices in your area.  I think it’s amazing that there can be as much as $.15 difference within a couple of miles.  The website is an MSN site and has other interesting and relevant info as well, such as traffic reports, etc.  And no this is not a ‘paid’ endorsement, just passing along what I think is something worthwhile. Have fun saving money on Gas!

How To Make A Million Dollars

Surprisingly, the US Government is going to help many Americans make a million dollars, if they want to. Do you want to?

The new economic stimulus package being worked out in our government will mean that most American citizens will be getting free money from the government this spring to the tune of 1800 dollars or more for a married couple with 2 kids. I say free money because instead of a tax rebate, it seems it won’t even matter whether the citizen actually paid any taxes. Many poor people pay no taxes. It also seems that the very people who pay most of the taxes in this country won’t get a penny. That’s the so-called rich people.

Sell Your Used Car - Final Segment

Finally, the last things about selling your car or other vehicle involve the negotiation closing the deal.  If you read the negotiation segment of the series on buying a used car, you will remember what we did from a buyer’s standpoint. This is the same, just from the other side. Here you have to decide how low you want to go to sell this car. You may have already set a price that you think is fair, but sometimes that price can be slightly revised when you have a potential buyer standing there with cash in hand. ;)  How quickly do you want to get rid of this?  To me, one of the key aspects of this is to have a win-win situation.  From a Christian viewpoint, am I going to be satisfied with the deal?  Did I do the right thing?  Was I totally truthful in this transaction?  I believe that anything less is cheating the buyer.

Sell Your Used Car or Vehicle

Okay.  Continuing this thread on selling a used car, I almost forgot a key point. We have cleaned it and decided how much it’s worth in the first post on this.  This post is about advertising it right.  Photos are key.  You really need some good photos with a fairly good digital camera.  The photos need to be very clear, brightly lit, and numerous.  You need about 12 good photos of the car.  Try to get it from all angles and preferably on a sunny day. Be sure it’s washed and shined as best you can.  Photos will draw you more potential buyers. Be sure to use them.
