Ever heard of it? Maybe you have if you have a Christian background. If not, I will tell you about it. I am a Christian. As a Christian, I believe that God owns it all, and we have things to use here by His will. When we die, it is all not ours anymore. But on to what the 10-10-80 plan is. Simply it is this. Give God 10% of all your earnings ( yes , before taxes). Give yourself 10% as a savings/investing thing, and live on the the rest of it. If you are not doing this now, you might be thinking it is not possible, or not for you in your situation, but if you are a Christian, I believe God is very clear about the first 10%. I know there are various opinions about that, and I won’t debate that today, but maybe some other time.

Important Facts About the Roth IRA

It’s time to start thinking about investing in your Roth IRA.  Do you have one?  Are you over 18 and breathing?  Do you expect to live a while longer? Do you have anyone in this life that you care about?

You need a Roth IRA.  Why ?  Because it is the best wealth building, get rich slow, government sanctioned, tax conscience investment you could have.  Too bad there is a limit on how much you can put in each year.  But many people don’t even invest in a Roth at all.  We have to fix that.

Surprisingly, the US Government is going to help many Americans make a million dollars, if they want to. Do you want to?

The new economic stimulus package being worked out in our government will mean that most American citizens will be getting free money from the government this spring to the tune of 1800 dollars or more for a married couple with 2 kids. I say free money because instead of a tax rebate, it seems it won’t even matter whether the citizen actually paid any taxes. Many poor people pay no taxes. It also seems that the very people who pay most of the taxes in this country won’t get a penny. That’s the so-called rich people.

So have you been to craigslist.com?  This site is perfect for so many of the things you might be looking for on Ebay.  Craigslist is a local classified website, where you first pick your local city, then look for most anything.  You can also sell things there, ofcourse.  Best of all, you will save a ton of money over ebay because it is free.  I was recently trying to sell some odds and ends from the basement on craigslist, and a potential buyer came by.  She wasn’t interested in what I had, but noticed I was selling my old Jeep that was parked on the street.  She said she just found one on craigslist.com and wondered why she had not seem mine.  Well, I had not thought of advertising it there, that’s why.  I immediately came in and listed it on craisglist (for free).  I sold it the next day.

I want to let you all know about a very useful source of information concerning your personal finances.  After all, that is what we all want.  We want to make the most of what we make.. ( But remember we really “earn” money, we don’t make it). Anyway, I have been listening to a man named Dave Ramsey for some time and I have to hardily recommend him to you.  He has a nationally syndicated radio show Monday through Friday in the afternoon time frame and he is now on the new Fox Business Channel on weekdays , 8:00pm eastern time.   You must check him out.  I will be talking a lot more about some of his great advice.
